Frank Ocean’s TV Debut Tonight on Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon

With exactly a week left in anticipation for the debut album release of Channel Orange, Frank Ocean will make his TV debut tonight on NBC Late Night with Jimmy Fallon at 12:35 am.  It seems Frank Ocean has done everything possible to keep his career channeled around his music and not an image, but his first TV debut will be a great opportunity for Frank Ocean to promote his album and give his fans a taste of what to expect on the album.

Aside from his first TV debut, this will also be Frank Ocean’s first chat in public since the open letter he released last week on his website in which the singer opened up about his sexuality.  So tonight – Jimmy Fallon and Frank Ocean, a few laughs, a few serious moments, and what better way to end the night than knowing Frank Ocean is expected to perform live with The Roots.

If interested, here is an article by the New York Times with Frank Ocean discussing his family and his stage of adolescence, an overview of the upcoming album Channel Orange, learning to stick with your gut as a songwriter, his recent encounter with Beyonce and his thoughts on embracing anonymity.

UPDATE: Frank Ocean’s debut album Channel Orange will be available for download tonight at showtime, 12:30 am, as an exclusive release on iTunes.
